Overview

Players on the 2020-21 10u AA team will have a complete travel hockey experience. Our primary goal is to create a fun and competitive environment where every player can develop their skills and a passion for the game. Our programming this season is highly focused on player development so that each player is equipped with the skills necessary to advance and excel at the next level. Head Coach Steve Bottoni   

Steve Bottoni is returning as a coach for the 2010 birth year. He is serving his 20th season as an assistant coach for the McQuaid Jesuit High School hockey program. Over the past 10 years, Steve has also been a part of the coaching staff for various Rochester Monarch teams (15u, 16u, 18u), Webster Youth Hockey (15u, 16u) and other coaching roles for Perinton Blades teams. A Rochester native, Steve played hockey at Mcquaid Jesuit, MCC and University of Rochester.  
 
   

Season Forecast

Duration: August 1, 2020 - March 15, 2021

Practices:

  • Two shared practices per week
  • Two full-ice practice per month
  • Two advanced skills development sessions per month by RIC Academy [watch video clip]
  • Two optional advanced skills development sessions per month by RIC Academy for 9u and 10u players. (no extra cost)
  • Two per month - Specialized goaltender training sessions [watch video clip]
  • Monthly off-ice training sessions at Next Level Strength & Conditioning [watch video clip]

* All practices, skills sessions and off-ice training sessions are included. No requirements for additional camps, clinics, or spring hockey.

Games:40 games total

  • 5 scrimmages in August and September
  • 15 wnyahl leagues games 
  • 10 Independent scheduled games
  • 15 tournament games. 

 

Events:

  • Rochester Americans and RIT hockey games
  • Preseason team party
  • End of season team party
  • Volunteer and community event
  • Fundraising opportunities

Composition of team:

  • 13-14 skaters
  • 2 goaltenders

Budget Estimate:

  • Dues: $1,300-$1,500 per player
  • Apparel and equipment not included
  • Tournaments and miscellaneous team expenses not included in dues (Approx. $400 per player)
