We are very excited to announce the formation of the Perinton Blades U-18 AAA.

This is a high school/college development level team that is intended to teach and emphasize those skills needed on and off the ice for a player to take the next steps in advancing their hockey careers. The core philosophy of the program is that Hockey is a “Team” game. Respect for your teammates and opponents will be demanded in a very competitive and fun atmosphere. Commitment to that end, to the program, and a willingness to learn are a must.
Objectives of the program include:
  • Competitive and rigorous practice
  • Developing leaders for High School hockey
  • Building Confidence
  • Emphasizing mental preparation and the “mental” aspects of the game
  • Emphasizing execution of a Game Plan
  • Learning and playing College level systems
  • Developing needed skills (skating, stick handling, passing, shooting)
  • Discipline
The Head Coach will be Nick Pierandri and Assistant Coach will be Gary Polisseni, with remaining assistants to be named.

The tryouts will be open to birth year 94’s after July (U18), 95’s (U17), and approved 96’s (U16)
This is for players who are looking for a split-season team so that they may play for their respective High School teams. This is a very unique opportunity for split-season elite players that are not true U-18’s. The hopeful progression will be to have players at the younger ages become leaders of the team in future years.
Note * All 96’s (U16) will need to Petition through Perinton Youth to be included in the tryout process. Please refer to policy at bottom of this page.
The coaching staff is open to players who will also be playing a fall sport as long as there is open communication regarding conflicts.
The team will carry a full roster of 20 players (18 Skaters, 2 Goalie’s). All players will be treated the same and afforded the same opportunity.
